According to the FDA, there are many dangers to having a breast augmentation. Some of those dangers include: rupture of the silicone shell, capsular contracture (When the scar tissue around the silicone shell causes it to harden.), additional surgeries, changes in nipple and breast sensation, extrusion (When the implant comes through the skin.), plus many others. This does not include the dangers of having surgery in and of itself with infections, anesthisia, bleeding and pain.
If those scary probabilities are not enough to rethink having breast augmentation. There is also the cost. The average cost of breast augmentation in the United States can be anywhere from $4,000 to $10,000. If done for cosmetic reasons, most likely the surgery will not be covered by health insurance.
Enhancing breasts with makeup is easy and inexpensive. According to Eve Pearl, celebrity makeup artist, enhancing breasts with makeup can increase the appearance of the breasts by one to two cup sizes.
Tools Needed to Enhance Breasts With Makeup
- A padded, lifting bra
- Blush Brush or Angled Blush Brush
- Long Blender Brush
- 2 Powder Shadows that are two shades darker than your skin tone and two shades lighters than your skin tone, either blush/bronzers or eyeshadows will work.
Directions to Enhance Breasts With Makeup
- Start off by wearing a good, properly fit bra that is either padded or has lifting capablities, or both for maximum results!
- Using the angled blush brush and the powder that is two shades darker than your skin tone; apply a small amount in back and forth strokes at the top of the breast to the inner part between the breast. Remember to apply lightly, more can always be added. Do this to both breasts.
- With the long blender brush, use the color that is two shades lighter to highlight between the breasts, above the breast, and below the breast. This will help blend with the darker shade already used and will create dimension to the breasts.
- Continue to shade and highlight until the desired look is achieved. Usually one or two more times.
This technique can be used to help increase the appearance of cup size and to help enhance the cleavage that is already there. It gives an instant boob lift without the cost and dangers of a breast augmentation.
