With cosmetics, you can alter your face shape to give the illusion of a perfect, symmetrical face.
Once you have determined your face shape you can use makeup to alter it. Contouring you face with cosmetics will give the illusion of a perfect, symmetrical face. There are many ways to contour your face; you can use foundations or powders and bronzers. Foundations will give the best and natural effect. However, using powders and bronzers will be easier. If you have an oval face, you really do not need to contour your face unless you want to add depth. Using FoundationTools you will need: 3 shades of foundation (your true shade, one shade lighter and one shade darker, sponges and foundation brush, powder. Using PowdersTools you will need: Your true shade foundation and powder, one shade lighter powder, and a bronzer. Make sure your bronzer has no shimmer to it. If you do not have a bronzer, you can use a powder two shades darker. · Apply your true shade foundation all over your face. · Imagine an oval inside your face. · Anything outside of the oval should be darkened, either with a foundation or bronzer. · Anything inside of the oval should be highlighted, either with a foundation or a light face powder. · Taking a brush or sponge to blend over the entire face is the key to look natural. · The last step is to always powder your look so it has true staying power. Much of this information came from a lecture given by Robert Jones in Wichita, KS on April 29, 2004.
