Dazzle the Halloween party in a Fairy Costume complete with the right Fairy Makeup.

A fairy costume is not complete without the right makeup look. It is important to play up the eyes and have fun with the makeup. With the eyes being the dramatic pull for the Fairy Makeup look, the rest of the makeup will be soft and subtle.

Products Needed for Fairy Makeup

  • Black eye shadow
  • Three very shimmery eye shadows in the same color tone. (For example, a light teal, jade, and a forest green.)
  • Black liquid eye liner
  • False eye lashes
  • Bronzer
  • Neutral lip liner
  • Soft pink lip gloss

How to Create Fairy Makeup for Adult Fairy Halloween Costumes

  1. First start with foundation, concealer and, set the makeup with powder. Just use the day-to-day products for this step. No need to change the color or try something new. The goal is to create a flawless base for the rest of the look.
  2. Apply black eye shadow to the lid (from lash line to the crease) of the eye and kick the shadow out a little bit on the outside corner of the eye.
  3. Line the bottom lashes with the black eye shadow as well.
  4. Pick a shimmery eye color that matches the rest of the fairy Halloween costume. Layer the shadow over the black eye shadow, applying the eye shadow from lash line to the brow bone. Use light strokes over the black eye shadow not to completely lose the color but to lighten it a little bit and adding a softer look.
  5. Using the darker eye shadow color, apply to the inside corner s of the eye with a brush and blend.
  6. With the lightest eye shadow color, line the lower lash line just under the black eye shadow from step 3 and blend. This should create a nice effect of going from light to dark.
  7. Line the top lashes with the black eyeliner, getting the line as close as possible to the lashes. Then draw the swirly lines up going out towards the hairline, making sure not to go past the eye brows.
  8. Apply false eyelashes. This is a great time to try a fun pair of false eye lashes that are two-toned.
  9. Create a sun-kissed look by applying bronzer to the cheekbones, chin, and the top of the forehead.
  10. Line the lips with a neutral lip liner and filling in the lips to prevent any harsh lines.
  11. Apply a soft pink lip liner to the entire lip for a little bit of shimmer that will not distract from the dramatic eye makeup.

Make sure not to rub the eyes to prevent any makeup mistakes and remember to always carry lip gloss for mid-evening touch ups.

This look can be toned down for children. Do not use the false eyelashes and stick with bright fun colors.
