Bold Berry Lips: Makeup Trend for Fall 2008

The following fall makeup look can work for all skin tones with some minor adjustments for ivory/fair complexions. One of the hottest fall makeup trends is a bold lip.
A bold lip creates a natural sultry look that will also include another fall makeup trend: jewel tones. This fall makeup look is a basic eye look. It is simple to apply and works for all eye shapes as well as all eye colors.
The following makeup products are needed:
- Eye shadows in shimmery vanilla, butterscotch brown, and taupe brown
- Black eyeliner
- Berry cheek color
- Berry lip liner
- Deep Berry lipstick
- Berry Shimmery lip gloss
- Black mascara
- Makeup brushes and applicators
For the Eyes
The butterscotch brown and taupe brown eye shadows should be matte colors.
- Begin by applying foundation, concealer and powder to set makeup. Apply shimmery vanilla eye shadow color to the eyelid, brow bone and inner third of the bottom lashes (directly below the tear duct).
- With the butterscotch brown eye shadow, apply the eye shadow in the crease. Start at the outside corner of the eye and blend with the shimmery vanilla eye shadow.
- Next apply the black eyeliner to the top of the lash line. Lightly draw a fine, thin line as close to the lashes as possible.
- Apply the taupe brown eye shadow along the top lashed and back into the crease, creating a c shape. Blend with the butterscotch brown eye shadow and the shimmery vanilla eye shadow.
- Apply the taupe brown eye shadow along the bottom lashes and blend with the shimmery vanilla eye color.
- Mascara is a very important step for a great look. Apply three coats of black mascara. After each coat is dry, comb through with a metal lash comb.
For the Cheeks
For the ivory complexion, lighten the blush with a pink berry color, more of a strawberry or raspberry color.
- Apply the berry cheek color to the cheek bone. The best way to apply cheek color is to smile, find the cheek bone and apples of the cheeks. Apply the blush and blend.
For the Lips
Bold berry lip colors are very popular this fall. It is a hot fall trend. For the ivory complexion should change the lip gloss to a shimmery vanilla lip gloss. If the berry lipstick is a concern, try using other shades such as shades of red and deep pink. Even purple shades will work for bronze skin tones.
- Line lips along lip line and fill in lips with the berry lip liner.
- Using a lip brush, apply the deep berry lipstick. Blot once with a tissue paper and apply the color again.
- To complete the look, apply the shimmery berry lip gloss.
