Prema Dubroff Makeup Tips

In a recent issue, Pati Prema Dubroff shares makeup tips for a quick, easy look that anyone can do use to feel more beautiful. These tips will help create an effortless look in a matter of five minutes.

Start off by knowing what your imperfections are and do not be shy, we all have them! We can choose to embrace our imperfections and leave them as they are or we can choose to cover them. Either way, self-awareness is a must! Use a creamy concealer to cover any blemishes or dark circles.

Next, even out the skin tone. For some people this might be as simple as covering some imperfections and setting with powder. For others it might be necessary to apply a light layer of foundation to even skin tone around the nose, mouth and cheeks.

Set with a powder to give makeup more staying power. Be careful not to use too much powder; that will give a cakey, dry look which will make lines and wrinkles more obvious.

Dab a little bit of color on the cheeks. Using a cream blush will be easier since it can be applied with fingers. Or use a lipstick, which will also cut down on the amount of products that need to be carried for quick touch ups. Blush helps give a more youthful appearance, never leave home without it even if time is limited!

Eye Makeup Pointers

For the eyes, use a matte neutral shade of eye shadow in the crease of the eye. This will help give some definition to the eye but will not be dramatic. Then line the top eyelid with an eye liner. It is always best to powder the eye liner, either with face powder or an eye shadow to prevent smudges. Curl and apply mascara, one coat at least, if time allows, add two.

Never leave the house without spending a little bit of time on the eyebrows. Most eyebrows need weekly maintenance at the least. After checking the shape, fill in the eyebrows if needed.

End the look by applying a favorite shade of lip gloss.

The best way to streamline makeup application is too be organized. Makeup organization will help keep the right products close by, making application go faster.
