The best way to apply makeup is not necessarily the traditional way. A better method means shaking up the application order.
There are a few items that must be present in a makeup bag. These products can be found at drugstores and grocery stores and do not need to cost a lot of money. It is important to note that some makeup products are made from the same ingredients regardless of cost such as mascaras, lip liners and eyeliners. Staple items:
Application Steps:Before getting started with the makeup, apply a moisturizer and immediately curl eyelashes.
Apply foundation and powder as needed. When satisfied with the “facial canvas,” start to work up the face.
Decide on a lipstick color first. Line lips and fill in with the pencil before applying lipstick or lip gloss. Traditional practice says to start with eye makeup. Though this seems backwards to some, completing the lips first helps to accurately judge how much more makeup is necessary.
After choosing the shade of lipstick, move to applying blush. Apply until it looks complementary to the lipstick.
Before starting the eyes, look at the face. Look at the lipstick shade. If it is dark, eyes should be lighter, and eyes can be more dramatic with a lighter more natural shade of lipstick. Applying eye makeup will be a lot easier and balanced after lipstick and blush has been applied. Start with mascara and let it dry. Sometimes, mascara is all that is needed with lipstick and blush. If the mascara is not enough, move to eyeliner. Smudge it under the lashes and on top if necessary. Finally, if more color is desired, add the eye shadow. Medium color first and then darker in the corners if necessary. This method of application creates a perfectly balanced look.
